In 30 years of professional sports photography, Gregory Shamus has covered more than 2,300 events for Getty Images – as a freelancer, for Getty’s image partners and in the last four years, as a staff photographer. He worked as the team photographer for six seasons for the NBA’s New Orleans Hornets and for nine seasons as the team photographer for the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins. That work included coverage of two Stanley Cup Championships. He’s traveled around the country and around the world, covering golf majors, NBA games in Europe and dozens of professional championship games from the NFL to the MLB and beyond.
